In 1990, the National Museum-Institute of Architecture named after Alexander Tamanyan was founded. Founded by Ashot Haykazun Grigoryan.
Right in front of the museum is the famous bust of the architect, sculpted by Artashes Hovsepyan.
The museum occupies a unique place in the cultural life of Yerevan, as it holds many exhibitions on the topics of architecture, urban planning and construction art. The museum has connections with scientific and creative cultural points of Armenia and abroad, such as museums, educational institutions, scientific institutions. The museum is constantly in touch with individual architects and often their exhibitions can be viewed.
